After pushing myself since Monday, i have now finally made myself sit down with my laptop to write a blog which was supposed to go live on Monday. well, rants apart, i have a few questions rolling in my mind, so, do you remember your first ever favouraite story?
Ok, i will go first, mine was , ' The Little Red Riding Hood' , this story has a special sentiment in my heart, as, when i was very young, my elder brother would shoo me away and never include me in his games( just elder sibling behaviour) i would run to my mom in the kitchen and cry and complain, my mom, in the midst of soo much work, would lift me up, make me sit on the kitchen slab and would narrate me the story of Little Red Riding Hood, that image is still etched in my mind, that is where my love for stories began i guess.
Then as i stepped into my early teens, i was introduced with the Harry Potter movies where all summer vacation afternoons were spent by me, my brother and my mom glued to the TV screen watching Harry Potter Movies in HBO, we did the movie marathon thing before it was a real thing!
Then along that timeline Enid Blyton's Famous Five came into my life and so now i kept my dolls aside and sat and read all day, so yes, i was introduced to books and reading very early in life, credit goes to my mom.
And stories hold a very special place in my heart, i always have a story to tell, a story to read , i can never be a non-fiction reader , no offense to them, but it's actually boring!
And now, I read more than one book at a time, i listen to audible which is my latest obsession, this might be weird but i listen to audible more than music on sportify... so yes, i am weird and nerdy in that aspect, talking about audible and these childhood reads, i stumbled upon a really fun audible original book series called " Camp Cacophony" by Jessica Khoury, this was the first book in the series where almost like harry potter, the girl Amelia, is learning Music Craft, where she learns different spells of musical notes which can conjure magic, its light, fun and filled with imaginary angles to the story, just like Harry Potter but less tragic i guess, i am now on the second book of the series, " The Mystwick School of Music", and i am already hooked and looking forward to learn more of Amelia's adventures, so be ready to hear more of my book yappings and reviews here on this blog!
See you once i finish my book!
