Things I did in the last year that has nothing to do with the internet

Honestly, this feels like a walk down the road of my google photos , because thanks to that , I can now see every now and then what all I did in the last year and I can happily Admit that there are quite a few things which I did actually:

  1. I joined the gym for the first time in my life!

This was a very new thing for me , one thing about me is that , I am majorly a yoga person, I have been doing yoga for quite some time now, so I painted a picture in my head that gym and strength training, cardio and all is never for me but then I came across few fitness blogs and websites which were screaming to me how important it is for me to do strength training as a woman but I never heard to those noises...then my partner suggested me that why not give it a try, if two people are there for the gym then atleast we can be motivated to being regular....and that made me thinking 🤔 so then I got all pumped up and excited to try my first ever gym experience! Honestly, to this day when I look back and see those weird and sweaty gym selfies of mine on Google photos I feel like I was a whole different person mentally and physically, now not to brag and all but I by the end of the previous year could do dead lifts, could do calf raises, could do push-ups and I even got muscles! So yeah, joining gym was actually something which made my perspective towards my own fitness goals change, I was more fitter than I usually am and it honestly gave me a sense of fulfillment! So yeah, a I totally recommend joining a gym if you have not already!

  1. I developed the hobby of gardening:

This hobby is something which I have grown seeing my mother doing it, back at my hometown my mother has almost created a jungle at our house with different kinds of trees and plants so I felt it was about time that I should also do that, so yes, I am now that crazy plant lady who buys plants, get's excited about plants and then forgets totally to water them until they almost die(🙈🥲) Also one very tech-fact about this hobby of mine, I am a total newbie to gardening, so if my plant is behaving very weird then I simply take a picture of the problem part, put it on chatgpt and then ask it to tell me what the problem is and what to do to fix it.

  1. I became more confident in the kitchen:

Ok so ever since I got married, I had 0 to minus experience in cooking or rather I was always that clueless kid in the kitchen who would never find anything, so previous year, I decided to change that for my own sake, so I started believing more on my instincts and I stopped getting scared to make a mistake, I started telling myself that it is absolutely ok to make a shitty receipies than totally giving up the idea of trying it, so yes, this have actually helped me to whip up something, sometimes it turned out bomb , sometimes it turned out very very bad but yeah I have started and I hope to reach somewhere one day.

  1. I have started learning about finances :

Now, I guess we all at some point have heard about this book called 'The psychology of money' well previous year I picked up that book, me being a heavily fiction book person gave it one trial shot and I wish to say, I did not enjoy that but...I came to a realisation that I need to learn my finances or rather about the subject of finances better to understand the essence of that book, that made me curious and I started on reading more about the finances on the internet, and I would like to say that now I invest , although very little but I now know what are SIPs and Nifty and stuff like that , I am still learning but I made a start.

  1. I became a huge Romance -book paglu :

Now this was a major shift for me as a reader, I was always a mystry book reader all my childhood, when in college, I became started exploring more genres for reading like historical fiction, science -trivia, self-helf, classics etc , but I never ventured towards romance because I had this weird illusion in my mind that , ' it's boring ' now thanks to some of my 9th grade students, they happily recommended me some romance novels which were not just romance but much more so what piqued my interest in this genre was the book , ' The Love Hypothesis ' again I read it on a teenager's recommendation but honestly it was really fun, I loved it and I started looking up for more and more romance stories, so the obsession for the current day has reached to a level that now I have finished a book series of 5 books called the 'Windy City Series ' in the month of April itself! So yeah, my obsession with this genre has gone to a next level.
